Hey guys, I'm currently sitting in the computer lab at school, and it was left up to me to find the music for the project. I need about 6 or 7 songs from the 60's and 70's that represent the era.

    Thanks

Tough to narrow down to so few, but off the top of my head:

Otis Redding: "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay"
Beatles: "A Day in the Life"
    Doors" "Light My Fire"
Dylan: "The Times They Are a-Changin'"
Rolling Stones: "Sympathy for the Devil"
    The Who: "My Generation"
    Marvin Gaye: What's Goin' On"

Deep Purlpe, Smoke on the water.
Vanilla Fudge, You keep me hanging on.
    Iron Butterfly, Inagaddadavidda
    CSN&Y, Woodstock

Dylan is unlistenable! But if you are forced to use Dylan at gunpoint, you can pick ANY song he has, they ALL sound the same.:puke:

Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Fortunate Son"

    Rolling Stones - "Satisfaction"

    Hendrix - "Purple Haze"

Blue Oyster Cult - "Don't Fear the Reaper"

Black Sabbath - "Ironman" or "War Pigs" or "Paranoid"

Moody Blues - "Nights in White Satin"

Marvin Gaye - "Let's Get It On"

IMO, you need to at lease have something from The Rolling Stones and CCR

Did I mention how terrible Bob Dylan music is?

If you are truly 16 years old, please don't allow this garbage into you young fertile ears.

    It is aural rape!:run:

The Billy Joel song on your list is from the late 80s.

And yes... The Beach Boys: "Good Vibrations" or "God Only Knows"
