I took him out shooting this morning and he was doing a good 1.5 inch grouping at 50 yds. That is minute of deer at those ranges considering that is where my feeders are located from the blind. Now can't wait for the youth hunt in 2 weeks.
Well, we do not do bow hunting on my lease but I take him to our range often and he is pretty consistant in his shooting. Keeping hinm queit will be more important than nervousness when the time comes. He is ADHD.
No problem-raised two sons with ADD. One is now a nurse and officer in the Army and the other a computer programmer making big bucks. They may have been wild in church and on family trips....but when it came to hunting and doing what they found exciting...they were focused like a laser beam and very effective. People with ADD have a unique ability to solve problems and seek out of the box solutions.
Good hunting to both of you. and my youngest son who just turned 25 hunts with a 7mm-08 I had built for him years ago. 42 grains of RL15 and 120 TSX is magic and shoots well in every rifle we have tried it in.
