got a friend who ran a 12.5 in a bone stock manual 2011 mustang 5.0.

i don't know your son's track racing history, but there's always room for improvement the way it sits. lower tire pressure or better tires would be a start.

btw: my friend is supercharged now... and puts down 650rwhp on pump gas.

Last night my son ran his 2013 Mustang at No Problem Raceway. His times were 12.5, 12.4, 12.3 He was pleased with his times. Street tires, BAMA tune, and CAI

2011 with 20k miles with a 9# roush blower and 6sp manual. Not a single hiccup or issue.

Be careful what "problems" you read on Internet. One pissed off person with a computer can make a relatively small issue seem like a very large one.

140,000 miles on my 2005. My speedometer quit working. I think I pegged it too many times. I use my GPS for the speed, and stick to normal human speeds now.

just watched a video of two cayotes with the same bolt-ons but different tunes (1 w Lund, the other with AED)...the AED tune put a few car lengths on the Lund tune.

just thought I would share, maybe the BAMA tune is better than those though :dunno:

2014 the stang gets its next gen. auto show made it look very modern and euro, opposed to modern boxy-retro. kind of like a ripoff of an aston. no idea what the powertrain holds, but the rumor on the other forums is a turbo 4cyl in the pony and a twin turbo 6 in the GT, 44mpg 300hp/38mpg 400hp respectively,

Turbo 6 for the GT? Nooooooooooooo I saw the euro looking pics online but then saw a Car and Driver article which showed the car looking generally the same, but the main change is a independant rear suspension.

yeah im heartbroken at the loss of the v8. rumor is they will have the "Boss" that offers a V8, and the Shelby with the SC V8. Makes them stand out a bit more i guess

btw: TTV6 still a rumor, but a highly believed one.

I'm betting it will be the 5.0 and an ecoboost 6 and it will go from there, but somewhere along the line there will no longer be a V8

the revival of the 5.0 was a big deal for the mustang fanbase, i find it hard to believe that theyd abandon it so fast. My thoughts are the stock GT is the TTV6, and the "Premium GT" is a 5.0.

And when the TTV6 out powers the NA5.0, what then? ie: look at the power of the NA5.0 even with bolt ons and compare it to the Nissan GT or even the old Buick V6 turbo.

americans dont like it, but the turbo 6 platform is far, far superior to NA v8's. There's something about the sound/feel, but our powertrains are decades behind the competitors in capability and function.

My 2 cents: Ford should leave the V8 to the GT for that signature sound. If they want to put a sexy new V6 TT in a vehicle, then they should resurrect the Probe.

I rather like the idea of the retro stang with the V8 as well... there's just something about a sunny day, a top down, and a v8. performance data cannot measure the exhaust sound creating a smile for your inner child every time you leave a stop sign or red light.
