I have had a '66 Thunderbird for over 10 years. I did not title it when I first bought it because it did not run. I have now found the parts and fixed her, but I cannot find the title.

I purchased her from a couple in their 80's in rural Tennessee, and they are no where to be found (they have probably left this world).

Looking for a way to get her titled, any information or contacts can help.

I have contacted the DMV, and they were zero help.

There used to be a place in Alabama, I believe, that you could go thru to get an Alabama title legally issued and then transfer it and get a La. title. I had found their address once in I believe one of the collector car magazines you can buy at a magazine store such as books a million. They charge a fee but it is all legal.

I also think you can go thru Texas and get a title as all that is needed in Texas is a state tax form and you take that to any tag office in Texas and get a Texas title. If you know anyone that lives in Texas that would be a good way to go.
