I'm looking for a "best bang for the buck" scope for my .22. Any suggestions. I have rings that will easily hold my Bushnell 3-9x40, so I have plenty of room to work with.

I'm cheap and can't see spending 2x what the little Marlin is worth on optics for plinking.

    Thanks to all,

You might need new rings, but in combination with iron sights they can be pretty accurate. Great field of view and an AWESOME eye relief!!

You might look at a Bushnell 3x9 32mm Rimfire...I put one on my Winchester 190 a couple of years ago and have been very pleased..very clear, good glass, holds perfect zero, and was only about $45 on-line. The parallax is set at 50 yards instead of 100.

I've got a Tasco 4x15 scope I bought years ago for $6.95 that does great on my bolt .22. You can still get the 4x15 real inexpensive today. They seem great for .22's.
