I'm trying to fix an old stock and I need a stick of walnut 1"x2"x6" long. If anyone has suggestions on finding walnut in Baton Rouge, let me know. Thanks.

Maybe some used furniture from thrift store or side of road or something broke in your house that you are gonna fix but still haven't. Maybe some old award plaque or trophy. Old beater stock. A hardwood lumber supply, Acadian here in Ponchatoula maybe, there are some in BR too.

we have some antique walnut floor joists 3x4 or so, reclaimed from an old building in new England. if you're interested in historical value.
