Yep. Same thing happened to me one time, except I was doing 70 and flipped 6 times. My Glock came out unscathed and actually got up, walked back over and pulled my unconscious body from the burning wreckage. Amazing pistols.

ETA: My Series 70 just sat there and looked pretty.

    That looked REALLY painful.

Even though I read the description of what caused this 3 or 4 times, I still don't think I understand how it happened.

It looks to me like it would have at least broken the tip off the hammer after the first 1/2" or so of sideways travel, which maybe would have gotten 1 round off, but who knows.

Revolvers are dangerous. I will offer a public service to any bayoushooter member who would like me to take possession and dispose of these dangerous Smith and Wesson revolvers. For a nominal fee of course

Uh excuse me please S&W revolvers are dangerous maybe but that would have NEVER happened had it been a Ruger LCR_uh foe show..

wonder what kind of revolver it was that had no transfer bar?

If he's saying 5 rounds went off and it was a six round cylinder my bet is a single action revolver. Old school guys with older models only load 5 rounds as a safety precaution.
