    Update:
    Folsom Necker has arrived!

Here's a shot with a Victorinox Alox Cadet for size comparison.

The knife arrived yesterday evening, but I didn't get a chance to open it up till last night. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this little knife. The finish is well done, without being an annoying super thick coating. It fits great in the hand and the thumb ramp makes it super comfortable to hold for push cuts. The sheath was done well also, not hot spots or blemishes on the kydex itself (no pics yet). The sheath came with a length of 550 cord tied on, if you wish to use it's intended purpose as a necker. I'll probably end up getting some IWB loops for EDC. The sheath does hold the knife very secure and can be removed easily with a quick tug. I'm used to larger knives and breaking the tension using my thumb to push the sheath down, so this will take some getting used to. I'll be 100% honest and say that I am impressed and it was worth every penny. I'm curious to see how the O1 will last long term, but that's for another day.

I found this maker while fumbling through the explore page of Instagram. His name is Brian Selby of Selby Knives. I believe I got in on his second or third run of his new knives. This little knife is called the "Folsom Necker." They are made from 01 tool steel with G10 handle slabs/scales. He also makes a larger version of this design, but I feel this necker size will be great for EDC. From the little that I have talked with Brian, he seems like a cool guy and is excited about getting his blades out in the market. Bayoushooter edition group buy, perhaps? :D Once I receive my Folsom Necker, I'm going to do a review over on BF and copy it here.

    Anywho, here are the pics!

I like it too but my big issue is a quality carry sheath. Somthing in Kydex that wont break off at the belt. HEAVY DUTY b/ I am challenged at keeping thing from breaking.

Each knife comes with a simple kydex sheath. See the last picture.
Currently, the neckers are running $75 w/sheath and his larger blade at $125 w/sheath.

Mine will be in the mail next week. Once I received it, expect a ton of pictures and a preliminary review.

Keep in mind, the smaller blades and sheath are designed to be worn as a neck knife. However, as any kydex sheath goes, it can be worn in multiple ways with the correct hardware.

A neck knife? As in on like a necklace style setup? What's the practical aspect of that? I've always wondered.

Some people prefer to carry a small knife around their neck for short hikes or deep concealment. Neck knives are fairly common in the knife community. A little research will reveal a lot.

This particular blade, and most other "neckers" can be carried multiple ways. Technically, all knives can be carried on a lanyard around the neck, but heavier/larger knives would be a pain.

Kayak fishing with a necker is the way to go, IMO.

Looks like a nice design and o1 is a tough steel so should hold a edge if heat treated right.

Definitely! I'm hoping these have a solid heat treatment.

Mine should be here in a week. As you can see, my sheath is slightly different. I don't know if all will be made this way, though. Brian did mention he's oing up on price soon, so I'll keep this thread updated.

Here's some dimensions, for those interested:

    OA Length: 5"
    Blade Length: 2.125"
    Blade Thickness: 0.125"
    Handle Thickness: 0.5"

I added a 1 1/2" noose lanyard to assist in pulling it from the sheath and to give a better feeling of grip.
