Hey guys, my name is Dylan and im from the nola/br area. I am a current student at LSU. I am look forward to expanding my knowledge of weapons through the help of the forum.

For a first question, what local competitions are recommended for an amateur such as myself? i enjoy shooting all varieties of weapons and just enjoy competition so all is welcomed. thanks in advance

edit: i currently own no firearms of my own but my dad owns several as well as my brother. i am in the market for my first, another reason for joining the forum.

Welcome to the group. If you want to start with pistol shooting then come visit us on Monday nights at precision Range on Cloverland. We are shooting USPSA style matches for pratice. If you want to get into rifle matches then Look up the Palo Alto Gun CLub on the web for information on their matches. Anyway you look at it we have you covered.
