    I was just shooting the 10/22 yesterday and was needing something like this. The hotlips one with the plastic top is useless!!

    According to many posts and reviews online, not using lubed ammo helps. Supposedly the bx-25 solves the problem, since it is easily disassembled and cleaned. Dunno, but that's what a lot of folks have to say.

    My husband had to have one as soon as I got the announcement email from Ruger. So, we got one. Now we have two more on backorder! I've shot it a whole lot more than he has, great for those evening turtle/snake patrols at the pond. No more fumbling for another mag. So far about 300 rounds through it and no ftf. Also nice are the beveled edges instead of sharp corners down the length. More comfortable in the hand.
