So the 10/22 takedown tactical has a threaded barrel and a flash hider...is this just for the cool factor, or would a 22 actually benefit from such a device?

No, not at all. It's basically just for looks, although the threaded barrel is a good thing if you plan on suppressing it.

When the 10/22 is the most commonly customized .22 rifle on the market, Ruger needed to add more silly options. Speed is right though, it's handy dandy if you want a can. Most people with cans end up putting a Tac-Sol barrel on it anyway.

i have the lcr 22, been looking hard at the lcr 38spl for bug but im sold on the lcr 22 mag low recoil high penetration:

LCR 22 mag? Cool. For no particular practical reason I want a little 22mag. Will give this one some thought.
