Hi folks, I'm from Walker, LA and just found this spot from google via a few direct queries related to local ranges and other such questions (trying to learn as much as possible.) My first rifle is a 300 win mag Remington 700 sendero sfII with a vortex viper PST 6-24x50.
Haven't had much range time with it yet, mounted a 20 moa Murphy Precision rail on the top because I have a goal of 1k yards.
I've been shooting handguns for a few years, and always wanted to get into rifles (ever since I was a kid with countless bb guns and pellet guns) but never got around to it until now. So far, I've sent 8 Winchester rounds through it and decided I need to get it bore-sighted by a local gunsmith.
Rambling aside, good to be here, and look forward to some fun discussions.
