"If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all," a dispatch from the official Korean Central News Agency said."

This is not gonna end well.

    God be with us.

and theres not a thing anyone can do to stop them, we have allowed it to go to far, all this time they have been planning, we have been pissing around in iraq. We will be attacked by North Korea, its a simple matter of when.

Most people seems to forget that Korea is closer to Hawaii than california, and that the US mainland is 60 miles from a communist nation which is cuba, meaning friendly to North Korea.

I have no doubt that the Koreans have seen Red Dawn as well. Whats your back up plan?

He's to busy apologizing to terrorist nations to assess any real threats against the people of the U.S.

They've already compromised our missile defense systems and have clearly stated that they are more worried about U.S. Vets coming home and turning into domestic "man-made catastrophe causers" than any real terrorist.

This has gone on way too long. It's time they overhaul the defense systems and grow some cahones. Instead they'd rather argue about which type of health-care benefits the poor, non-working, non-U.S. "citizens" the most.

Yeah, I don't think we're in danger of being occupied by Kim Jong Il. I do think he's a loose cannon with a nuclear cannonball. Like someone said earlier, this is not going to end well.....If he pulls something really stupid instead of simply running his mouth, the end result will be a lot of dead Koreans- probably North & South.

If you're seriously suggesting that the Immun Gun forces will invade CONUS... get real.

nah im saying that anyone with half a brain knows we can get our ass beat anytime, all it takes is someone who has very little to lose. Do you think the UN would allow us to fire nukes into North Korea? no way, too many other countries would suffer from the fallout. But the US? nothing around on 2 ends, so bombing the coasts would not harm anyone but Americans. The enemy whomever it is simply needs to get within range. I say they already are. We are led to believe things, but fact is, we can only watch less than 1/50th of the ocean, that leaves alot of water that we have zero clue whats in it.

LSP do you play chess? en passe?

everyone keeps talking NUKES.. the fear is ATOMICS thats what they have alot of and thats what they will use. Remember Hiroshima? well todays ATOMICS are 3 times as powerful, less radiation, hard to detect, and easy to fire from a sub-based missile.

If a specific country hit us with a nuke- and we knew who did it- there is no way in hell the UN would stand in our way. We would tell them- diplomatically of course- to "go #@*K themselves."
They sure as hell didn't stop us from going into Iraq, did they? When the chips are down, the UN is a complete & utter JOKE. The American people would not stand for another attack on our homeland. That would make the rage after 9/11 seem like Romper Room......

Ole, you assume we dont have someone in power that would seek a "diplomatic" solution.

some FYI... from the CDI in 2003...

North Korea could deliver its nuclear weapons with missiles, although it is unclear what North Korean missiles are outfitted to carry nuclear warheads. All North Korean missiles are liquid-fueled. North Korea has an arsenal of hundreds of Scud missiles, which due to their extremely short range, could be used exclusively against targets in neighboring states. Additionally, North Korea may have as many as 100 short-range (about 800 miles or 1,300 km) No-Dong missiles, although estimates range far lower. 27 These missiles, likely developed with Soviet assistance, could reach all of South Korea and most of Japan. North Korea launched one such missile into the Sea of Japan in 1993. 28 North Korea is also developing longer-range Taepo Dong missiles. The Taepo Dong 1, one of which was test fired over Japan in 1998, has a range of 1,500-2,200 kilometers. The North Koreans also have an even longer-range missile, the Taepo Dong II, under development, which could have a range of up to 6,000 kilometers. These two-stage missiles might be able to hit Alaska or Hawaii. North Korea has exported missiles and missile technology to Iran, Pakistan, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and probably other nations.

want the whole report from 2003..

+1. Obama may be a liberal, but he's no fool. Like it or not, he'd have no choice but to act with the entire nation screaming for action. This all assumes that we've already been attacked. What I really would like to know is "how eminent" does a threat have to be before Obama will actually act on it.

Yea... im thinking you guys are giving way too much credit to Obama.. he cannot and will not make a decision that will cause any harm to international big business or banking. People need to buy one of two things.. Buy ammo, or Buy Anal Lube, either shoot back or get screwed.

The fact is those in power NEED NKorea to bomb US soil, that will give them the ability to do things they otherwise could not do, such as claim Martial Law, disarm citizens "for their own protection" and once the threat is over, the damage is done, and if you think the government will give back your guns, you are a fool.

This wont be the first time it has happened to a sovereign nation, There are 3major causes of an end to a sovereign nation, Race issues, Financial Issues, Outside enemies, One of these reasons have been the cause of the destruction of many sovereign nations in history, from the Romans to the Soviet Union, well people we have ALL THREE RIGHT NOW! there is no way we can fix all 3, so no matter what happens, we are in trouble. If you try and fix the race issue, the finacial issue grows, if you try to fix the financial, then the race issue grows, if you try to fix the outside issues, then both race and financial issues grow.

The United states is actually 2 peoples, We the people the citizens, and we the people the government, this was not the way it was supposed to be, now the problem is that when we the people the citizens become a fair price for materials for the we the people the government, 2 things must happen, either we the people the citizens become wards of the state, or we the people the citizens refuse and revolt. This isnt anything new, how do you think this country began? We are on the verge of something not because of Obama, or Bush or Clinton, but simply because for the past 80 years this country has been run by we the people the government, and as we have seen for the longest time, slowly our nations money has found a home overseas, and the we the people the citizens lives have been traded for oil and commerce.

We the people the government are no longer bound by the confines of this land, no matter who controls it, no matter if it becomes the property of a foreign nation, we the people the government will not lose. we the people the citizens lose, and we the people the citizens are powerless to stop it.

Its easy to explain just as many large ranches in this nation have sold off piece by piece until the original ranch no longer exists, the original owners just walk away with the money and leave the people who originally lived on the land, to find other means of income and housing because that which they lived on and from was sold out from under them. This nation has been sold out from under us, look around, while you were just trying to survive, you were left hanging out to dry, because the government rancher, sold it out from under you, and now he is taking his money and looking at a nice piece of land elsewhere.

Remember the screwing the US government gave my people? the Native americans? well they ran out of Natives to screw, so it seems they found a new group, called the United States Working Class Populus. Aint it a bitch? A bully is a bully, and when the one kid moves away, the bully simply finds another kid to pick on. did you know theres a bill about to be turned lose that will make it MANDATORY for your children to serve in government service? A few other countries have done this.. Germany, China, Cuba,... its called a Communist Dictatorship. Say hello to your new flag... remember folks, Denial is a sign of addiction, not freedom.

I HIGHLY doubt we will be attacked by North Korea anytime soon.

Their army is regularly on the brink of starvation and made up largely of conscripts and we out class them, indeed greatly, in every possible military way. The majority of their weapons systems are easily 30-40 years behind ours. In the modern battlefield, that is a big difference in terms of capability. Further more, even our ground forces out number theirs to say nothing of planes and ships.

They have no way to effectively or completely mobilize their troops and zero practical force projection.

North Korea is a near non-factor in a traditional military sense. Their greatest threat to us would be funding/providing for irregular forces to attack the US e.g. terrorists.

Furthermore, the strategies, organization and equipment of the North Korean army is heavily, almost completely, tailored to war in Korea against the South Koreans.

    EDIT:

    To put things in perspective.

It took us 20 days to completely defeat the armed forces of Iraq and to seize the country, a country with an approximate level of (perhaps even slightly greater) military technology. We achieved this with absolute minimal casualties to our forces. Even considering the three times greater potential size of the North Korean army, I don't think they would take much longer to fall. Their morale in battle would likely be as low and without air-superiority, extra troops are just targets.

Gee you watch too much CNN ... real facts..

North Korea is the most militarized country in the world today[3], having the fourth largest standing army in the world, at nearly 1.2 million armed personnel, with about 20% of men ages 17–54 in the regular armed forces.[4] It also has the Worker-Peasant Red Guard, a reserve force comprising 3.5m+ (IISS), 3.8m (USMC) or 4.7m (State Department) militia. It operates an enormous network of military facilities scattered around the country, a large weapons production basis, and an extremely dense air defence system. MEANING WITH THE RESERVES THEY ARE TWICE AS LARGE A FORCE AS THE UNITED STATES.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_People's_Army

They also have a very nice Air Force using Mig 29's which are newer and more advanced than out f-16 or f-18.
