New to AR platform Louisiana

Hello forum just a quick introduction. I just really tried the 5.56 thing.I've own a few AK rifles I've now decided to build a pistol with the Sig type stock any suggestions

Because building it as a pistol first gives him far more options. A pistol can always become a rifle, but a rifle can never become a pistol.

And with an arm brace and a proper buffer tube, it's really no different than running with a fixed stock.

Or you can sbr the rifle, and shoot it long or short!

There are several local groups that conduct classes based around the AR platform. Check out the Training section on here, or just google "carbine classes" along with your location. They're loads of fun, and you learn a lot. Let us know what you intend to use it for, and your budget, and I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice.
