We all know that our "democratic" process is flawed for the same reasons you can see in the first video. We also all know that a change to this process is unlikely as the two parties that gain the most from it are the two that would have to vote to end it.

Our system: "First past the post"

    Optional system: "Alternate Vote"

This is a better option than our current system, but still has some an issue with gerrymandering, which goes on pretty blatantly at present (House of Cards, anyone?).

    Optional system: "Mixed-Member Proportional"

I like this one because it does a good job of removing gerrymandering. The downside is the political parties picking who gets put into the extra seats rather than the voters, though I'm sure that could be tweaked so the lists are more democratic as well.

This represents pretty much the extent of my knowledge of alternative democratic voting processes, so if you know of others, throw it out there.

And how could "We the people" push for a voting process change other than begging the republicans and democrats to pretty please change the way they get elected every year?

(p.s....... what is with this 1 video maximum per post?)
