It is difficult. Sometimes better to find another gas tube with the plastic and keep the stock one with the wood.

i already got the gas tube out, its the lil rivet thats a bitch, hammering it out to change handguard.

drill it out. center punch the pin, and drill through it. you won't need to drill the entire pin out, just a hole through it, and it will come out easily with a punch
