I saw that yesterday. Isn't it sad that you can only find it on a news site from India? Last I looked, Fox News wasn't even reporting on this.

Most people have no idea what is happening, they are too brainwashed by the media for "The Game". Hours and hours of "The Game".
Useless statistics and drivel about coaches and criminals, thugs and beer commercials. Relax folks and watch "The Game".

The real game is in Washington. And we are losing.

That number seems ridiculous to the point of being unbelievable. So I'm calling bullsh@t until one of the sites printing this same information says where it came from. I can't imagine what would drive the cost of a trip to two billion no matter how many people and planes you bring with you.

I have no idea what all this would cost firsthand(DUH:rolleyes:)- but if they're doing everything they claim in this article, it's going to be pretty damned hefty.:eek3:

It's a whole lot, but according to this he's bringing private chefs, also
President and Mrs. Obama are reportedly bringing along a tremendous entourage of about 3,000 people, ranging from U.S. government officials to journalists to Secret Service agents to private chefs, for a two-day visit beginning Nov. 6.

Two jumbo jets will accompany Air Force One to India, along with security planes, and the president will motor through the city in a 45-car convoy, according to the Economic Times of India.

All 570 rooms and all of the restaurants and banquet halls in the top-flight Taj Mahal Hotel have been booked for the visit, along with rooms in hotels throughout the city, reports the Times.

The U.S. reportedly has already thrown a security blanket over the city, with a Navy warship, helicopters and ground personnel from various U.S. security agencies already in place, according to the Press Trust. Mumbai has suffered repeated terrorist attacks.

He's also moving warships around and flying around aircraft like they're his personal security forces.

$2 billion is an obscene amount... but it's definitely possible in light of all this. I also read somewhere that the total security forces add up to around 10,000.

Wow- that array of firepower almost- but not quite- rivals the size of Obama's ego....

    1. What did it cost for Bush to travel to another country.
    2. Developing a good relationship with India will be good as the country can help offset China's economical and trade dominance.
    3. How much of that is just normal daily operations that would be spent anyways? IE secret service payrol.

Don't ask reasonable questions here young man!

The best I can tell is the number is based on something some Indian official said. Now if you want to use that as a basis of fact go ahead. For me it will take more than the word of "Patel" to convince me of something. I can't even get a decent answer anytime I'm connected to "customer service". He probably said something completely different but no one can understand "Indian English" so it gets printed as 200 million.

I have to say I have no problem with the President bringing his own chefs. Have you eaten Indian food before? Holy ass fire Batman! He could be out of commission for days. On second thought...

Three jumbo jets , support crews , fuel for those jets delivered onsite by the Air Force , Navy ships and crews offshore ,fighter escorts , air to air refueling , limo's , trucks , vans , food and lodging for all of the hundreds of people involved , etc. , etc. It's a HUGE operation to move a President from one side of the world to the other . Especially this guy with his huge entourage .
