Proposed List Of Demands For Occupy Wall St Movement!
Posted 7 days ago by LloydJHart (Vineyard Haven, MA)

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

    Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

So this is not a good thing ?? Seems like this would just for starters stop the wal mart ships and a lot of other goods that can be made here, is it only end user retail price holding us back then ??

One thing to note is this is a user posting on a forum. Some of the suggestions though are pretty damn good if you ask me. Especially #2(sort of), #4 and #8.

I understand these protestors wish to adopt socialism to replace our free enterprise system and way-of-life. I think they should all get jobs and get off of their parents' and the gub'ment (that is intentional, and not meant to be rascist) teat. Welfare is designed to get you back on your feet after a crisis of the financial kind. It is not free money.

While we're at it, let's share the wealth! It can't hurt, right? Surely, no. Let's take from the haves and give to the have-nots, while the government and those who feed well into the politicians' greed, corruption, and agendas rape the nation's finances an let the middle class and poorer STARVE. Doesn't bother us, as we liberals think for only ourselves.

Yeah right. Do note the sarcasm. Get a job, and if you truly wish to help the nation, exercise your rights constructively. Try writing your senators and representatives, and learn the government's inner workings and how they apply to business and daily life and foreign affairs. Ask questions, and THINK. Most of all, consulting the Almighty will be the best thing of all to do.
    This is ludicrously insane.

That's what the banisters would LOVE for us to believe. The bastards have robbed us all blind.

Turkey did this several years back. Released a new currency that was valued higher, and imposed MASSIVE import taxes on anything of foreign manufacture that you chose to purchase when you could have purchased "made in Turkey".

When I was there, the economy was booming. but there were several negative effects.

The tax was X7 on electronics. You'd see tags like this Price 150Ytl Tax X7= 1050Ytl. Basically a $50 microwave was $350 because of the import tax. You could buy Turkish made, but would it work?

Cars were outrageous. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was ~$80k. Again, you could buy Turkish made, but would it work?

High import tariffs breed a gigantic and highly profitable black market, which finance and strengthen organized crime.

China's currency is undervalued by 40%, they have no EPA, and their people's wages/standard of living are no where America's. Correcting this disparagement would be a good start. If the playing field is level the American manufacturing industry can compete internationally. Politicians, the EPA, regulation, and taxes are running our good jobs overseas. If Americans are working we would have the tax revenue to cover our bills. As long as we can get these Washington jack asses to stop spending our money. These protestors are nothing but Marxists. They will never be the Tea Party. Though some of their demands sound good anytime you give the goverment control over something they will encroach into every aspect of your life eventually stripping you of all of your rights. Just look at Europe. It is imploding.

One of the biggest obstacles to the US economy getting out of this slump is the lack of leadership at the federal level. I am a business owner and talk to business owners all the time and the message is the same. We feel this administration is hostile to business. That and the threat of raising taxes, more costly regulation, and Obama Care have crippled American business. The stagnation you now see is the result of Obama's policies. I attended a Loren Scott (LSU Economist) business seminar several years ago at the start of the downturn. He gave two scenarios. One if the administration just did nothing. In this scenario at this time the economy would have rebounded to the previous level prior to the downturn. The second scenario was if the administration got involved and created more regulation, raised taxes, and kept running up large deficites. Where we are now is what he predicted. This economy is owned by the present administration. I have read there are 3 Trillion dollars on the sidelines waiting to get back into business. The investors are holding out due to the uncertainty created by Washington.

You should look at some polls to see how far this once called Great Land has fallen. You would probably die fighting change even if it would change things for the better.

At least those "whiny bitches" aren't sitting their asses on the couch watching reality TV and football.

Some of the people out there I agree with, and others I don't. Either way, it is encouraging to see people out there expressing themselves. I would call it their 'right' to express themselves, but we don't have that anymore.

I'm not a smart man but I work my 40 a week to provide for my family and make sacrifices on my wants to provide my needs. In reading these "demands" I foresee the following issues. Maybe I'm completely backwards thinking but these are just my opinions.

So in the time it takes to return America back into a competitive provider of products, the tariffs on imported goods will cause every day products will increase in retail that it will make everyone suffer more.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

In doing so, all private insurers cease to exist and more thousands, if not, millions of jobs are gone.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
In doing so, someone can go to work for McDonald's making minimum wage and get subsidized by the government so that he earns the same as someone that works 40 hours or more a week at a construction site?

    Demand four: Free college education.
So no tuition meaning no funding to the college for expansion, upgraded technology, sports programs, new study programs or competitive salaries for professors, less the government pays for everything.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
We all know where this will go. No dino-fuel, more corn-fuel = increase in food costs due to the wide use of corn in everyday products.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Like to see the infrastructure but who's going to cough up the 1 trillion?

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Would like to see the ecological restoration, but instead of discommissioning, how about grants in research to ensure the nuclear energy safety and operator training is increased?

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Already exist in the 15th and 19th ammendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

So the new American jobs that will be created by putting a tariff on imports will be given to illegal migrant workers who will work for less than legal migrant and legal resident workers.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Didn't the paper ballot flaws lead to a second term of G.W.Bush? Really? Paper Ballot in this era of technology.

So more companies go into debt or out of business and will turn to the government for bailouts. Meanwhile, those that don't get bailouts will have to lay off honest workers there by leading to further unemployment?

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

More like, outlaw all credit collection agencies. What keeps a bank from loaning money to someone that has never paid their bills?

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

I have no comment on this topic as I do not have enough knowledge on it.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

I'm on board with demand one. It's the other umpteen demands that someone just pulled out their ass. Despite what we can afford, our country could probably use 1 trillion in infrastructure upgrades.

BUT 1 TRILLION dollars on ecological restoration?!? Pass dat ****.

    Demand four: Free college education.

This is probably the best idea. All of the people protesting are going to become college professors and work for free! Then they will get second jobs and DONATE their money to the campus for maintenance.

Seriously though we all know there is no free. Either everyone pays for it, or you (the one getting the damn degree) pay for it.

I don't see with a list like that how anyone can take these clowns seriously.

There should be universal healthcare, however I do feel that there should be private insurance too. This issue isn't about jobs being lost it's about Americans dying everyday because they dont have health insurance. Let me guess you were the one screaming out for a person to die if he didn't have health insurance in that republican debate?

    Demand four: Free college education.
So no tuition meaning no funding to the college for expansion, upgraded technology, sports programs, new study programs or competitive salaries for professors, less the government pays for everything.

Tuition is not the only way of funding a college. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_education
People are coming out of college in America with 30-80k worth of debt and half the time they can't even find a damn job.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
We all know where this will go. No dino-fuel, more corn-fuel = increase in food costs due to the wide use of corn in everyday products.

I haven't heard of one group say ethanol or corn based fuels is the way of the future. Instead I've heard a ton about solar, water, wind, and other electric technologies.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Like to see the infrastructure but who's going to cough up the 1 trillion?

It's called reinvesting. The ROI of a 1 trillion dollar payment into the infrastructure of America would be fantastic. Roads, bridges, dams, levees, and all kinds of crap would be fixed. People would be hiring because they need workers to do the work. It is a trickle effect that could totally spark a new life in America.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Already exist in the 15th and 19th ammendment.

Is it practiced? DADT is now gone but what about same sex marriage? Same sex marriages are only legal in 5 states. Pretty ridiculous.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
So the new American jobs that will be created by putting a tariff on imports will be given to illegal migrant workers who will work for less than legal migrant and legal resident workers.

Sort of like our ancestors when they came to America right?

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Didn't the paper ballot flaws lead to a second term of G.W.Bush? Really? Paper Ballot in this era of technology.

Do a few google searches about how secure these new voting machines are and then get back to me.

Let me get this right, we gave banks a bailout and now you don't want to give us that option?

YES! What the hell man. I was against bailouts for corporations and I'm against bailouts for Joe Schmoe who can't manage his own life.

I am in debt about 1 tank of gas and that will be payed off when I feel like opening the website. Why is it so hard for you to understand living within your means?

What if you were a business owner and you just installed a new pool that someone is financing through you. Is it ok for them to not have to pay and you eat the bill? Do you have any idea of how crippling this would be to out economy? Also I could care less if ancient Greece did it successfully, 2000 years later and they are still not fiscally sound over there.

There is a way to not get in debt with student loans. It's called not taking them out. It may take some effort and sweat but I'm doing it right now so I know its possible.

I'm not really disagreeing with you here but I think now that the banks have had their bailout and are not changing their ways something has to be done. They are still giving bonuses to their top guys and still messing stuff up. It is time to wipe the slate. We all are having to pay for them now and we have no control over what they do. The banks got bailed out and we got sold out.
