I need info from anyone who owns, or knows anything about the Hopkins & Allen No. 822 rifle in .22rf listed as a "full loop." I've seen many .22rf single-shot lever-operated rifles from several different manufacturers, but NOTHING like this "full loop" lever.

I've got the info from Jim Perkins' book American Boys' Rifles 1890-1945, but I'm looking for more. Does anyone out there know anything about these little guns? Below is a pic of one from the Perkins book.

I just looked it up in the 2007 Twenty-Eighth Edition Blue Book Of Gun Values.

On the No. 822 all it says is:

.22 cal. rimfire, rolling block, lever operated.

Under that though is the No. 832 which says:

.32 cal. rimfire, otherwise similar to Model 822 (this model was offered first with "pig tail" type levers and later with "loop" type levers. The "loop" levers are somewhat rare).

Let me know if you would like the approximate values as well.

    Thank You!

Many thanks, Psychic Bacon. I only have the 2007 Standard Catalog of Firearms and it isn't listed in that. I only collect the .22rf single-shots so would cerainly appreciate knowing the value of the full loop .22rf.

The old Perkins book only gave descriptions with nothing about values or numbers produced.

Not a problem. Though the only mention of a "loop" lever is on the Model 832.

The full entry for the 822:

Number 822 - .22 cal. rimfire, rolling block, lever operated.
    100% - $300 98% - $240 95% - $195 90% - $175 80% - $150 70% - $125 60% - $100

Sorry I can't give you anything further.

    That helps!

I know these.22s are rare, and usually .22 is in more demand than .32 of any make. So, since they haven't listed the .22rf it would indicate none have been reported as sold. They'll now have some new figures for their next edition as I just bought a .22 at a large online auction. It's not in hand yet, but will try to post some more pics when I do get it. Seller called today that it's on its way.

Thanks again for the info, Psychic Bacon.

    Best regards ~ ~ ~ FFF
