Paracord in the Alex/Pineville area?

Anyone in town carry it? I've bought some at Academy before, but they only had 50' lengths and I'd like to get 100' or maybe 1000' rolls. Thought I'd try to find it local before I order any.

probably do better just ordering, i've picked up some locally in baton rouge and the internet is cheaper including shipping.

1000' OD type III mil-spec 550 f/ Army Universe on Amazon.....$50 (can't remember shipping $, but I think it was bundled with other orders, so it was pretty cheap).

I'd order it online from a reputable vendor. A lot of the stuff Academy and other retailers sell isn't real mil-spec 7-strand paracord.

Thanks, I know the Academy stuff is 5 strand, but it would work ok for craft and basic camping stuff if I couldn't find the other. Academy didn't even have that tonight, so I will be placing an order her in a bit and will have a buddy pick some up from the surplus shop at Ft. Polk too.

Try the Fishnet Company in Jonesville La, they have it.....Dont know if it's what you are looking for....I was looking at heir catalog at home for some hooks and noticed it !!! Good Luck

I did a quick google of one of their lines and another dealer shows it to be 550/7 strand, but don't see much else even on the manufacturers site (Atwood Rope co.). Going to order some and check it out.
