The Phobos Basic Pistol/ Carbine Course is intended for students who wish to acquire the fundamental skills that will serve as a foundation or “building block” to becoming a safe, efficient, and effective pistol/ carbine shooter. During this, approximately, 8 hour block of instruction we will provide instruction on:
• Pistol/ Carbine nomenclature, safe handling, and maintenance
• Safe pistol drawing and re-holstering techniques
• Safe carry and deployment techniques for the carbine
• Safe loading and unloading procedures
• Fundamentals of Marksmanship
• Safe clearing of malfunctions
Pistol Gear Requirements:
• Reliable semi-auto or revolver
• 350 rounds of conducive ammunition
• At least three weapon appropriate magazines (semi-auto) or speed loaders (revolvers)
• Eye and ear protection
Carbine Gear Requirements:
• Semi-Auto carbine rifle
• 350 rounds of appropriate caliber ammunition
• At least three appropriate weapon magazines
• Eye and ear protection
