Places to eat in Gretna

Looking for a nice restaurant to eat at one evening in or near Gretna on the West Bank. ??? TIA

Of course there are chains too, but these 2 guys live, work, and spend their money in the state and community.

Tony Mandina's - highly recommend

If you like Central American food there's a place on Belle Chase Hwy that I can't even spell.....Pupuseria or something like that. It's half a dozen blocks south of the Expressway or so.

If you want a lot of food there's always Boomtown's buffet as well.

+2 on Da Wabbit....check out DiBlasi's on Stumpf in Terrytown..very good Italian food, has been for decades!!!! Grew up there and still visit and still one of my favorite places!

The Point.

Very good. They have a special on tuesday that consists of collard greens over rice, three fried chicken wings, yams and a salad. Best greens I've had in a while.

Yep, my wife loves the place more than any other place in Gretna/Terrytown. Good folks and always a pleasure going there when we go back to my original hometown!!!

Cleopatra's , Italian Pie, Cafe Roma (although the restaurant is dirty, the food is good), Tennou Sushi, and theres a Mexican restaurant we're going to tonight by Belle Chasse hwy... i'll let you know tonight if its any good

+100 on Cafe DiBlasi. I've been eating Mario's food since I was seventeen, to this day, all other Italian eateries pale by comparison. Good atmosphere, great staff.
