Just letting you guys know, I've used Precision for 3 different transfers and have paid 3 different prices, each time more expensive than the last. This last one cost me $40. I know that this is a strange time for gun owners, enthusiasts, and retailers, but something felt dishonest about being charged that much to transfer a gun they didn't offer. Just a heads up.

I think so, but I'm honestly not sure. I bought some ammo while I was there so I didn't pay attention if they charged me for sales tax on the transfer. Is that not a normal practice?

$100.00? thats laughable. its not hard to get an FFL to sell out of your home, even easier if you have a business of any type operating already.

    here it comes /flamesuit on

City pawn on Florida charges $15 eveytime. i have transfers going there now. They're on file with everyone I've bought from and they're nice as can be. Ask for Chris. Tell him a BS member recommended him. You can find some good deals in there too.

I started using a guy in laplace company is called c&c firearms very nice guy even invited me inside his home and talked to him and his wife for about an hour. I think places around me are about 5 bucks higher but I pick up my stuff from him when I go to see my parents on the weekends who live very close by.

I am curious though is a transfer fee price dependent on the area its located in or just whatever they want to charge?

Cant speak for anyone else but we based ours on what we wouldnt mind paying as an individual vs what we as a company would need to make it worth while. The same holds true for C3 stuff we charge 125 for that.

It's all what the business decides to charge. The standard is 15-30 bucks. Any company advertising double that or more has lost my interest into even walking into their facility.

Again, it's not hard to get a FFL. If you are a collector or frequent buyer, you may want to look into it (if you are selling as well for a profit).
