The 700 had a bad habit of throwing fliers and I figured I could have remedied that by bedding the stock, but I figured I'd get it all done at one time. This is a typical 5 shot group at 100 yards. Stock rifle.

I've been meaning too for the last few months, but I've been offshore for the 1st weekend of every month. 14&14 is nice, but there are times that it really sucks to be on the wrong side.

how much and where did you get the HS detachable mag?

It is kind of pricey at around $250 (includes 1 mag) and extra mags are $100 IIRC. Brownells and Midway carries the HS conversion. Midway is cheaper

There is also the Badger mag conversion which is better but you have to mill out the stock.

I know it is kind of far off but I am going to go out on a limb here and say I will make the April one. Anyone want to carpool or something? I am in Mandeville I can meet here, Metairie, Hammond, Laplace etc...

I have popped a few coyotes with it but so far that is about it besides punching paper. In the spring im going to have a new barrel made for it in 1:8 instead of 1:12 so I can shoot the heavy stuff better.
