Question about priming powder

My question is before I make my powder order can I use 2f to prime with or can I use a mortar and pestle make priming powder out of the 2f? Should I just get some 4f? I have a .54 trade rifle flintlock.

I always used 2f or 3f to prime, basically whatever was in my rifle. If your flint is good, touchole clean, and frizzen good you should not have a problem.

Same as above. Tho If you are going to order special priming powder get flash powder.

Order some Swiss Null B...faster than 4f.

Same here. Never had a problem with either 2F or 3F.
