Question about service uniform .

My wife was in New Orleans yesterday and there was a lot of service personnel there because of the Navy ships making a port call . She saw a lot them wearing tan shirts and black pants . Who wears this uniform ?

I just read an article that there is Australian and UK vessels there . Probably some of their crew .

That is the new US Navy service uniform. It has been out for a couple years. It is E-6 and below.

I ate dinner at house of blues yesterday. Being an old vet, I too was curious about the uniform and asked. It's US navy. It distinguishes seamen from NCO's

The Peanut butters. Everybody wants to look like the chiefs now. Ridiculous uniform.

The dress uniform will remain the same, jumper, 13 button pants and Dixie cup hat.
