IMO, THE whiskey cocktail is the old fashioned.

True. I've tried a lot of them in a lot of different places, the two BEST I've ever had... Doe's Eat Place in Baton Rouge, IF George is bartending. The other was at the Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin, which is a bit of a commute.

Wish they made a good non-alky beer, for us non drinlers.
Be nice to have one with boiled shrimp,crawfish ect.

Love all but a few Abitas and all Mexican beer. How weird is that! Maker's Mark is still less filling.

Calandros has the best craft beer selection in baton rouge and a very helpful staff. They can help you pick a style based on your preferences. They carry Founders Brewery which makes some of my favorite beers

St. Arnolds, any type but lawnmower is there major one. Santo tastes really light for a dark beer. You will thank me after.

I been drinking a lot of Majic Hat #9 and Fat Tire lately. Both really good in my opinion. Also Shiner has a Family reunion 6 pack with 6 dif beers in it. I like them all especially the Bohemian Black Lager.

I'm a simple man, Abita Amber is my beer of choice. If I'm feeling fancy I love mixing 50/50 Andygator and Purple Haze.

At the risk of sounding like a snob, I literally can't drink Bud/Miller/Coors/etc. Cheap beers give me the worst damn hangover and I don't drink often enough to waste a buzz on doodoo beer.

Got some Fischer Amber "Biere D'Alsace" for Cinco de Mayo. Like to drink something French on May 5, and with two (hopefully) gun trips next month, wine was not in the budjet...
