Aluminum (from Brownell's IIRC). My prior 3-gun shotgun. IIRC the plastic/polymer high visibility follower, that came with my first extended tube, had a lot of stiction....not good for reliable feeding. But with a good aluminum follower, just a hint of graphite and a clean tube, I never had another round of any sort fail to feed in the extended tube (8+1).
