Billionaire candy-maker Petro Poroshenko on Sunday won Ukraine's presidential election, according to exit polls.

The polls, by three respected Ukrainian survey agencies, show Poroshenko took 55.9 percent of the vote, which would make him the outright winner and canceled an expected June 15 runoff vote.

Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., who was in Ukraine monitoring the vote, told *Fox News Sunday* that the 48-year-old Poroshenko is considered somebody who can work with the East and the West and that he wants more U.S. military support.

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko finished a distant second with 12.9 percent of the vote, the exit polls also showed.

Ukrainian official: Russian tanks have entered the country
(CNN) -- Three Russian tanks and other military vehicles crossed the border into Ukraine on Thursday,
prompting a skirmish between Ukrainian and Russian forces, acting Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry told the BBC that the claim was "another fake piece of information."

Tanks, of Unknown Origin, Roll Into Ukraine
DONETSK, Ukraine — Ukraine’s interior minister claimed on Thursday
that an armored column from Russia had crossed the border into eastern Ukraine overnight
and had fought with Ukrainian troops during the day.

Russia did not immediately respond to the minister’s allegation,
and there was no independent confirmation that an incursion had taken place.

Is it just me or does the world seem to be spiraling out of control? Perhaps the results of a weakened United States? Perhaps inevitable?

Numbers count, but only go so far.

I'll take my Glock vs 30 guys with brass knuckles. Problem is china isn't one of those technologically inept folks where numbers are irrelevant. It'd be like... my glock against 2 guys with 1911's. :flamed:

    :)

More like you and your Glock against 2 Chinese with 2 exact Glock knock offs.

They have been doing a good job of reverse engineering and making exact copies of most products out there.

Official: 49 die in downed Ukrainian military plane
    http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/14/world/europe/ukraine-crisis/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

(CNN) -- A Ukrainian military plane was shot down early Saturday, killing all 49 people on board, a spokesman said. It is likely one of the bloodiest single events in that nation's current period of turmoil.
The Ilyushin-76 military transport plane went down while approaching an airport in the eastern Ukrainian city of Luhansk, said military spokesman Vladislav Seleznyov from the anti-terror operation unit.
In a statement, Ukraine's defense ministry said the plane, which was transporting military personnel, was shot down by insurgents using anti-aircraft machine guns.

US claims Russia sent tanks to Ukraine
The US State Department has accused Russia of dispatching tanks and rocket launchers
to Ukraine, calling the move *unacceptable.*

*We are highly concerned by new Russian efforts to support the separatists,*
deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters on Friday.

*In the last three days a convoy of three T-64 tanks,
several BM-21 or Grad multiple rocket launchers
and other military vehicles crossed from Russia into Ukraine,* she said.
    *This is unacceptable.*

Damnit! Guess I was wrong on the T-72. They're calling them 64's.
Which are pretty damn close in appearance from BEV.

Sorry if I take it personal :p Armour ID was part of my MOS as a 0351 :D

I'm not convinced RUSSIA sent these tanks though.
    3 tanks? That's it? Doesn't smell right.

and this guy(Random Internet guy with pictures) surely doesn't think so.

Several legit sources are reporting NATO Has Sat Imagery of those tanks staging in Russia before being driven into Ukraine. I guess they just forgot and left the keys in the ignition.
