Last year my Galaxy S crapped out and I needed a new phone. It was right before the S3 came out so I picked up a One X. A couple weeks later the S3 came out so I traded my One X in. I kept the S3 for about a week before going back to the One X. It was smoother, less bloatware, better designed, and the screen is better.

I'd get a One X + if I was buying today.

I just picked up a Note 2, this weekend, and am very happy with it. Battery life is awesome, too.

Root it and debloat it and it will run like a champ. If it's just sitting idle, the battery will last for a week once all the ATT crap is gone.

I've been looking into this but I'm no tech dude. I aint gonna lie, I'm completely lost.
