I'm looking for a Remington 700 SA 20 MOA base and some rings to mount a 1" tube and a 50mm objective scope. I originally wanted a Seekins base and rings but I found out after talking with Glen Seekins himself that they do not make "medium" rings in 1" as he said that I'd need for my rifle. Any other suggestions out there? It's going on a 6mm, so recoil isnt going to be a very big issue, but quality is what I'm looking for. Thanks

Do not use steel rings on an aluminum rail. Unless the rings have a full lug bridging across the base they will hammer into the sides of the grooves on the rail. If you bought the Seekins rail then you have aluminum. You can however use aluminum rings on a steel base all day long. Like Barney88pdc said, I also use aluminum rings/bases on nearly all of my rifles all the way up to .338lm. Badger Ordinance makes steel and aluminum med. height rings in 30mm but you can purchase the 30mm-1" reducers from them.
