Nice. I hope when I get to that age and give my daughter away that I can speak as truthful and as witty as that. :D

I've got a year, maybe two. My daughter is almost 19 and has been with this guy seriously for a year and a half. They are already talking. :draw:

    :noes:

I’ll tell you what has given me hope. Understanding that if my daughters grow up to be anything close to the character of their mother or my mother-n-law, then I’ll be fine, and so will they.

But unlike this guy above, I would have ended it just a little different.

When he said, "She's brought people back to life" yata yata

    I would have said,
"She's brought people back to life,
    …but if you hurt her,
there will be nothing left of (you) to resuscitate"

    …now here she is son…

    My granddaughters are 12, 9, and 1.

I gave my son in law a t-shirt that says: Guns don't kill people. Fathers with beautiful daughters kill people.

    He appreciates it.

    Nice.

When I gave away my oldest daughter at the altar, as I shook the hand of my about-to-be-son-in-law, I pulled him in close and whispered in his ear. LOTS of people thought I was threatening him. What I actually said was, "I present to you the greatest treasure God has placed in my life. I give her into your hands now. Treat her well and always love her."

    And he has....
