I don't know but that guy is a POS.... How could you walk into a clinic while the doctor is treating someone, shoot him in the head, and walk out into a restaurant, and shoot yourself in front of everyone. No one wants to see that....

They aren't state CHP policy gun free zones. But almost all of them have signs posted prohibiting carry inside. I believe that's what Dave is referencing.

I can't speak for EJGH, but I am in hospitals and clinics everyday with my job, 5 different facilities on a regular rotation, and only one has a sign.
One facility has several executives waiting on their CHP to come in and they will all be carrying at the hospital.
Making the assumption that all hospitals prohibit carry inside is inaccurate.

I was in Texas for training for a pharmacy compounding company, and they encouraged carrying and even have a couple reps that carried daily

That's true. Also according to the article this was in a clinic near the hospital, not the hospital itself. No telling what the policy of the clinic is or if it had a sign. To bad for the doctor, good riddance to the shooter. I am morbidly curious how these two individuals knew each other. Man kills his urologist, the possibilities are endless.

The shooter was a crazy 70+ year old who was a patient of the MD he shot.

It is shame he did not stop at Wendy's first and shoot himself. At least that POS saved us the trouble and expense of a trial and incarceration. That and did not shoot anyone else.

Cremate his body, flush it down the sewer and never mention his name.

Condolences and prayers for the MD's family. Note they lost a son to traffic accident about a decade ago.

I want to say I've seen the sign at oschner hospital...

You have, I walk past it every day.

Word here is that the guy got shot for not refilling the shooters Percocet script. At least he did everyone the favor of saving the cost of trial/incarceration etc.
