IMO, do yourself a solid and buy the Ruger MK III 22/45. You won't find a more reliable, accurate .22 handgun off the shelf. IMO Ruger's MK series has been leading the pack in this game for as long as I can remember. Yea it's a pain to break down until you get used to it, but not everything can be as simple as a glock.

Sound advice. I have a few of the Ruger standards, from the original up through MK III and they are all great pistols with a very strong aftermarket following. And the best part is Ruger's customer service. I've sent a few tired and worn out pistols back and for very little money, received a brand new reconditioned pistol with the same serial number!
Turnaround is usually about 10 business days or less. A recent rebuild and blu cost me $140 with 2 way shipping, insurance and a shipping label all included. I'll try to send a pic of the work sheet to show what all was replaced

You received it back from Ruger and it still worked? Two weeks? You had a much better experience than I did. If there is one brand, other than the obvious HiPernt that I won't suggest to anyone, it's Ruger.

I do still own a 10/22, and I do like that one. Otherwise, no.
