Silencer test on 22K-Hornet, 300Blk

I'm waiting on a few cans to arrive. Once they do, I'm going to test a SilencerCo Spectre, Sparrow, Octane45, DeadAir Mask, and Liberty Black Raven2 on a few guns. I'll start with the 22K-hornet and 300Blk.

I'm particularly interested to see how they stack up on the K-Horn.

Hopefully a video to come? I found that my Octane 45 is every bit as quiet as my Spectre 2, shooting .22lr; with a deeper tone. Im looking forward to building a 300blk to try out the Octane 45 on it with subs; until I get my 30cal can. I need to get a db meter, but a good one is expensive.

I'm waiting on stamps for a Gemtech 300BLK and a silencerco Omega. I'd be pretty interested to hear how the deadair sounds.

I have an Octane 45HD and a Specwar 7.62 that i've shot 300AAC through to date.

Noisiest to quietest: Octane w/ 45 endcap, Octane with 9mm Endcap, Specwar.

an AR with a 10.5" barrel and an octane 45 is the same length as an AR with a 9" barrel with the specwar on it. (The same length as a 16.5" barrel AR w/ a long-ish muzzle brake.)

.308 Subs are quieter than 300aac subs.

It's been a while but doesn't the k hornet operate at pressures beyond what most handgun cans can tolerate ?

the 22k is supersonic, you have a batch of subsonic loads?

I called SilencerCo to verify that it was OK to run it through the Octane. I've shot the Mask on 22LR, and it was impressive. Dead Air rates it for 5.7x28, and SilencerCo does the same for the Spectre, so the hornet should be fine in these two.

Nothing scientific yet, but the specter sounds pretty good running some fire-forming loads; the little bastard did get hot though.
