hey all, i searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this rifle...after looking at many .22lr rifles recently, and being priced around 500$ range and wanting to eventually convert it to a 5.56/.223. i stumbled upon the Model M&P15 Sport. its already a 5.56/.223 and i can get it brand new for 650$ after taxes and all. Comparing this model to the standard M&P15 I see no real difference other than a Melonite Coating and a non-chrome lined chamber and barrel, and 5R rifling along with no dust cover or forward assist.. this would be my first AR rifle and after some research it seems like a great beginners rifle.i could do the cmmg .22 conversion(im not worried about the ''dirty'' rounds going through my rifle) and still shoot it cheaply while having the easy option to shoot the 5.556/.223. has anyone had any experience or own this rifle/ any input?
