    Spent Saturday at the Parade in Luling La a good friend of mine asked me to cook for him and his family and I agreed. I made 10 gallons of smoked rabbit and andouille sausage gumbo. We had none left so I guess it was good. LOL:D Gumbo.JPG

    Johnny honestly dont have the recipe wrote down I am one of those people that adds as I go. I guess one day I will need to start documenting my recipes to pass along to the family. I can tell you this I had a guy asking for a slice of bread to clean my pot for me, LOL

    I hickory smoke them. I have 10 smoked rabbits in that pot. Basically I smoke them and then pull the meat off of the bone. I rub them with Tonys and Garlic powder before I smoke them. Depends on how much gumbo you are making but basically one rabbit per gallon with the sausage and andouille does well.
