Ok question folks. I would like to get this 1911 but want a normal 5" barrel. I would also like to take off the red dot scope and go with Iron sights. Is this possible ?

The barrel can be swapped out. Also regular sights can be installed. You'll have holes in the frame where the optic mounts were though. PM sent.

Depending on the type of bbl set up used, the muzzle end of the slides were milled to mate up correctly with compensator. If that is the case you would likely have to use a bull bbl in lieu of a bushing type bbl.

What Donnie said and depending on what type of front sight was on the slide, a dovetail may need to be cut for a front sight.
I have a .40 S&W bull barrel that I might be willing to part with.
