It will be closed to the public May 2 -6 for LEO training.
The St. Mary Sheriff Range in Franklin has one bay with lots and lots of steel. Open daily to public Monday - Friday, open Saturdays too around hunting season.
I've got 2 of these that I use when I head up to the cow pasture to shoot. I had 3, but someone decided it would be good to shoot at one with the M-14 from about 20 yards...it had a bad end. The others have 2 have stood up to numerous .22, .38, 9mm and .45 though.
IIRC St. Martin Parish SO Range in Franklin will "require" for you to have skill before they allow you to use what they call the "tactical range", both of the RSO's there are super cool as long as its not grass cutting day, if you make them aware that you shoot USPSA (what they call ABC Shooter) they dont mind.
The plates are not in the best of shape so they are just trying to make sure there are NO accidents at the Range, which I dont blame them.
They do have 1 plate and some swinging drops at the regular pistol range that anybody is allowed to use as long as you shoot at the designated yellow sign.
UPDATE: IPSO range now has one 14 position line with "wall to wall" steel: 3 plate racks, several Tom Longs, 3 poppers, 2 dualing trees. Can shoot form 15-25 yards but don't shoot the poppers when they are leaning back (launches the projectiles into the cane field / road behing the berms - pisses off the farmers).
Like Curtis said above - closed 5/2 - 6 for LE training.
