I'd hope this would open the way for movies to be released on streaming/etc same day as theatrical release.

Netflix and others are already in the works for doing that.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2 is slated to release on Netflix same day as theaters. There are a few other movies they are considering/working on a deal to make happen.

I do believe sony was hacked but not by north korea. I believe after the hack the sony execs decided to play up this north korean threat angle to prop up a dead movie. They just didn't expect that the major theaters would refuse to show it.

Why not? This administration helped to supply guns to the Mexican drug cartels and Syrian terrorists.

This is awesome! I watched the movie last weekend and it was pretty damn stupid. I wouldn't recommend it.
