I was reading an article about ball powder(w748) as a substitute for Varget. I have both and like most people find Varget a pain to meter properly. W748 meters very well but the negative was it is "heat sensitive"?? My question is , What is the effect of temperature on W748 and at what temperature? Also is all ball powder sensitive to temperature? Hope this make sense??

Well Jim..........I'm far from a powder expert, but the idea of the ball powder being "heat sensitive" may be from it having a tendency to be harder to ignite...........especially when cold? A lot of folks use magnum primers with ball powders. I haven't really had an issue with it. I do use both varget and W748
