I was happy to finally receive my permit. Not so happy about the 172 day wait.

I can't wait for my little brown envelope. I'm into month 6 and still not in computer system so who knows when it'll come, LOL

I would say relax and just try to forget about it. But who am I kidding I tried and tried yet I still ran to the mailbox everyday when I got home, just hoping it was there.

Renewal dropoff

Dropped off 1st renewal pack 8/30/13.

All forms filled with Adobe Acrobat so no issues with handwriting.

No issues with changes of
status in any way. Lady told me 30 days approx. Did write renewal and or stamp it as renewal on top. Mine expires 11/11/13, so i'll
update when received.

BTW, she did tell me next time we could do renewals online and pay with a credit card so that is good news!

So July 9th they told me that they had started opening apps from the first week of April.

Now, September 4th, the lady replied that they had just started opening mail from the first of March...odd

Yea, I have just come to grips maybe I will get this as early Christmas present now. Mailed mine in March and not in system as of 2 weeks ago so I will just wait for that little yellow envelope to arrive one day

FYI for those that are renewing. I mailed my renewal from Shreveport on July, 30. My new card was issued on August, 30
And it was in my mailbox on September, 7.

Nope. Hell, I don't even know anyone in Baton Rouge.
After reading these posts, I was really worried that mine would expire at the end of this month without getting my new
card. Now maybe they're getting caught up. We need as many CHP's out there as we can get.

Mailed my renewal August 19th. No response yet of course. . . . permit will probably expire before processed. Glad I got my parish permit!
