Things I DON'T skimp on.

Quickdraws "frugal" thread was good so I thought I start one on things I DON'T skimp on. I'll start, ya'll chime in.

#1 TOILET PAPER- Really. Angel Soft fo me.

#2 Whiskey- Jack Daniels

#3-Teethpaste- Colgate paste and I buy it one sale. Been using it my whole life and I don't have a single cavity.

#4 Meat- No ground in the tube. No processed lunchmeat. And no vaccum packed crap.

#5 Firearm optics- If it says "Made in China", it is Crap. Don't argu with me, it will just prove how much of an idiot you are.

Albertson's brand works for me. Is that skimping.

TP - Kleenex Cottonelle

Whiskey - Crown, of course.

Toothpaste - Crest mostly.

Meat - Cow, Pig, chicken........I like it all.

Optics - Whatever helps these old eyes see what I need to shoot.

Women - Still got my first. Cheaper to Keep her, ya' know!

Trucks - I'm a Bow-Tie kinda guy.

With that being said, Jack Single barrel and Crown Cask 16 are pretty damn good.

I'm not a whiskey snob. JD just seems to me to be the standard by which all others are judged. I'll do Crown when somebody gives it to me.

Toilet Paper - because even the good **** really ain't that expensive.

Alcohol - the older I get the more cheap beer and liquor **** me up in a bad way! Abita and Crown Reserve, thank you.

Phone - iPhone for life, yo.

Guns and Gun Parts - all of my guns are tools, and simply put I choose quality over quantity.

Food - I avoid fast food as much as possible. I do eat cheap, but try to eat good, non-processed foods. I'm also a sucker for brand name stuff, very little of what I buy is store brand.

Knives - After getting my first Benchmade, anything of lower quality just annoys me.

Shoes - a good dress shoe or work boot is worth its weight in gold if they are comfortable and you spend a lot of time on your feet.

Knives - a good quality steel in a knife is worth it to keep a sharp edge as long as possible. I have some Cutco knives that I would not give up because they keep their edge.

I might be adding belts to my list soon. I have to see how I like the beltman belt coming in about a month.

JD is a good product at a good price, not skimping. There is better whiskey, but their is better everything. Hell, you can buy toilet paper by the roll in designer colors from 100% virgin pulp paper with a gold seal, doesn't make angel soft skimping.
