Only if you're a normal human being interested in freedom and the American way of life. if you are a liberal moron or socialist pig, then guns are scary.

    Or completely ignorant about guns.

I've met plenty of people that started out as scared of guns. I was.

Coming from NY, they feed you "guns are bad" ******** your whole life.

I shot my 1st 1911 in '96 when i moved to Louisiana and have been enamored since.

Through dialogue and range time, I've made gun owners and CHL holders out of a few previously very anti gun folks.

It's not only socialists and America haters that are scared of guns. I'd argue its not them at all, it's simply the uninformed. Of course being uninformed usually contributes to the above political beliefs, but you've got to start somewhere.

Oh yeah, toy gun buybacks are part of the brainwashing Holder spoke of years ago. It's interesting to see these plans slowly come into being.

    It's total ******** too.

    behind a desk ....
now thats just sick people ..... they couldnt achieve that with the adults, now they are going after the little ones ....

knowing that they get a toy/ prize, with that, later in life they would be doing the same ..

only with real guns awaiting their prize(s) for handing them in ...

Is it not odd they want to photograph and fingerprint the children as well? It seems there's more behind this than just a ''gun'' buyback.
That's actually a pretty common family service in general, for people who want to have a safety check in case their child goes missing. They've been doing that all over since at least the time I was in elementary school in the rural midwest.

Where and when will there be one here? My kids have airsoft rifles and pistols, cap guns, noisemaking ray guns, and bubble guns, up to my ears that I would gladly turn in for a bike.

I did find out that this is the book the kids get:

First gun I ever saw up close was when i was in college. A friend's Dad was a cop and he came home and pulled out this shiney big 'ol hand gun and put it on the table. I was like "Oh ****!" I nevr shot a gun til I was 21 and in the Navy. We had to qualify with a 1911 and a 12 gauge. then an M9 but I was still nervous anound them. After that I never shot another gun until I moved here. I still think it's strange when I see someone open carry. I am just not used to seeing that.

My mom is from Queens and my Dad was from Brooklyn. Needless to say hunting and guns were not something done or discussed. My mom always would tell me growing up, "No motorcycles, no tattoos and no guns!" opps I have gone 3 for 3... She was really pissed about the motorcycles and tattoos.
