Tomah gunman linked to multi-state shooting spree

A man killed Friday in a shootout with Tomah police may be connected to at least 10 other shootings across Wisconsin and Illinois, authorities said Tuesday. Earlier in the day, police identified the man as 28-year-old Seth M. McCloskey of Ohio.

Tomah police killed McCloskey in a traffic stop Friday when he sprang from a red pickup truck and opened fire, wounding one officer.

That red truck matches one that witnesses have described in recent seemingly random drive-by shootings at homes and businesses across Wisconsin and Illinois.
