I've wanted a Weatherby for the last 8 years and finally got one for Christmas. Vanguard in .308 with a plastic stock.

    Outfitting:
    Nikon ProStaff 4-12 x 40 BDC.
    Leupold rings/mount.
    Harris Bi-pod.

    The Bad:
    The stock. feels cheap
The Action? Sometimes requires a little more force to rotate the bolt out of battery, I think this may have to do with some of the ammuniton used. 90% of the time it's nice and smooth.

    The Good:
    The trigger. Excellent
    The price. Excellent
The Accuracy. Very Good. Sub MOA with 147gr. DAG surplus. I haven't had a chance to run anything good through it since the break in was complete. I ran a few 168 Match Kings during the break in, but only got about a 1.5" group.
The recoil. Smooth, firm, not sharp.

    The rub.

I've put about 70 rounds through this rifle, and I can't wait to put more through it or have a chance to take game with it. I may upgrade the stock at some point, but it is functional and durable as is. $399 at Academy for a Sub MOA gun... can you beat that?

stretching the legs out at the local "range". 758 yds to target. The group was about 8" but the impact marks were in the rock just below the target and I did not have the camera with me. Next investment should be a spotting scope...

    Nice range. Where is that?

It's few miles from my house. BLM land. Everyone local knows it as "the range". A neighbor showed it to me when he saw me shooting in the front yard one day ( I have a 6' berm). I'm limited to 100yds in the front yard. THe range has well established target marks at 100, 200, 300, and 750, but the 750 requires a bit of mountain climbing...
