Back on topic, there is another local Louisiana brewery that has a strawberry ale. Covington brewery?

Is that better, on par or worse than Abita? Abita is my go-to. I love everything out of their brewery but I've been flirting with other Louisiana brands.

I've never had Covington's strawberry brew, but I had a dark ale from them and it was delicious.

Despite my love of dark beer, I do like me some Budweiser in 16oz, cans. Any other size container, material, just doesn't taste as good. It's probably all in my head.

Hmm... I'll have to try it.

I gotta say, Chocolate Bunny Grahams goes great with beer. :D

Bunny Grahams? Are these new? And what happened to teddy?

Covington brewhouse is really two breweries in one and they have some good beers. Heiner Brau is the other brewery title and he only does Traditional German beers. He is a German master brewer that came over here.

    Covington Brewhouse - Ponchatrain Pilsner

Heiner Brau - Marzen (so yummy), Kolsch and his hefe Weisse are some of his good ones.

I need to try their strawberry ale that sounds good.

LOL. Hope you like it. Spec didn't, but he's a strictly lager guy so I'm not counting his funky budweiser palette.

I'm going to run by our local place. If it's distributed in the state, supposedly they'll get it.

Get that crap out of here! I like Barq's ok, but Abita is head and shoulders better!

I know I posted my list, but the hot links have gone....

My go to beer is Guinness Draught, but I'm also a fan of Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan. Andygator, Boddingtons, Wells Banana Bread, Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Sam Adams Noble Pils and Cream Stouts are up there too.

Lately, I've been enjoying Abita Wheat and UFO Hefeweizen.

Oh my god!!! You gotta be kidding. The noble pills tastes like I've licked the bark off a Christmas tree.

Like the banana bread beer however. ;)

I love Noble Pils, it does remind me of spring time.... maybe that's the trees I'm tasting. Seriously, I was excited when it was back in season. I was drinking it pretty heavy until I discovered Abita Wheat and the UFO.

The Banana Bread is prett awesome. I wish it were cheaper.

Abita Root beer is so so sweet, When I do have it I usually drink it as a dessert.

I find that it isn't as sweet as say Barq's. IMO, it's very crisp and clear tasting compared to the others.
