    I saw it flying around, and at first glance thought it was a large house fly.
    It lighted on a soft spot, and i swatted at it.
    It wasn't a good enough spot to kill it, and it wound up ass up, and stung me the instant i made contact with it.
    It looks like a miniature wasp, and a nice little sting to go with it.
    What is it? A baby wasp?

    That thing is tiny.
    What I've always call a dirt dauber is bigger with a thin body. And it doesn't sting.
    I can't see the color well on my phone, but from the size, maybe a guinea wasp.
