I recently sold my last .40!

I will buy another, but which one?

    I've owned and/or shot; Glock 22,23 / XD .40 3.5",4" / Beretta 96
I liked them all for different reasons.

I've been leaning towards the Glock 27 or 33 just because I like the 3 caliber ability.
I know the XD's can do the three as well, but it seems like the barrels are harder to come by than with the Glocks.

I feel like I may be selling my self short, knowing that there are so many other .40 caliber handguns out there that I have no expirience with.

    So I ask ya'll, my fellow BS'ers, what's y'all's favorites and why?

Thanks in advance for y'all's input.

Always wanted a Glock and after careful deliberation picked the G27 to carry concealed . Actually had it picked out 2 years before I purchased one. I might one day swap out for a .45 but it would be a hard decision, because I love my 27.

If you want to be able to swap multiple calibers, get a Witness (make sure it's a large frame, not the newer, reintroduced small frame). With that, you can do 22, 9, 38 super, 40, 10, & 45.

I have only owned two .40's. A Ruger P91DC that was a POS, and my now g23. I would like an M&P series .40 though, and if it is consistant with the MP9, .45, and.22 that I own, the MP would be my favorite.

My G23 isn't bad at all though, I love it also.

MikeR- are you talking about EA witness/ tangfolio? That sounds awesome, I would love to have one pistol that shoots so many calibers, but what about build quality, durability, customer services, ect.? I've never heard anyone brag on their witness.

Devilneck- I would like see how the M&P .40 shoots as well.

Allen1911- that looks sweet, I thought about doing this with the g22 I used to own.

No love for the XD's? I'm not a fan of how they look and feel, but I shoot them well.

Thanks again for the comments and opinions so far.

I've shot a few sig 9mm's but never a .40, to me the 9's felt like any of the big metal Ruger 9's I've shot, the recoil seems slow and spongy. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's also the way I feel about the recoil on the Beretta 96.
I always liked the recoil of the Beretta over any of the .40's I've owned.

So can anyone out there compare a 96 and a sig .40 as far as recoil?
