Where in the Baton Rouge area can I buy a Hipoint carbine? I know that Hipoints are considered crap by most people so very few gun store carry them. The carbines get very good reviews. I am looking for the newer model with the tactical stock.

ive purchased them at Cabelas. You mihgt wnat to check for a coupon or sale on them. I remember seeing that in their circular the other day. You can also get them from Waggenspack in Gonzalez. He also had nice new marine coated HPC in a .40 at the gun show on sunday. If you do get one, don't waste your money on the 15 round after market magazine. I got not but jams after trying a few.

I think that the handguns have been badmouthed but the carbines have always been well received. Only problems I have ever heard of were due to cheap mags. Cabela's puts them on sale fairly often.

Thanks everyone. I checked with Waggenspack and he has them for $269. They are $300 at Cabelas right now. I will check the pawn shops too.

Waggenspack had some that already had the front grip and/or lasers on them as well. He's a great guy and easy to work with. I have purchased a couple of weapons from him now.

I often wonder why people knock Hi-Points, other then them being ugly. I've read a lot that they were cheap and ugly, but never heard of a negative report from someone who owns one.

I wanna say the Hi Point was around $200 they had 2 old ones and a new one. I was in the market when I held it but that thing is way to heavy for what it is.

    6-8 months ago.They were $189 everywhere.

Seems as if they became quiet popular and have since increased in price. They do seem to how ever be coming
back down again. They were at one point around $385

I seen between 8-9 of them at the last 3 gun shows this month and were going for around $269-$289.So I would think
$269 is a fair price for now.

try to list a WTB ad in the classifieds here on BS.

I payed 175 used. NO issues at all and it runs well. accurate at 25 yards anyway. Ill be purchasing this stock as soon as I get a few extra bones to accessorize her.
